Beacon Therapeutics
Creating a brand of light and hope where there was only darkness.
Beacon Therapeutics is a pioneering retinal gene therapy company focused on restoring and preserving sight.
Born from the University of Oxford, it tackles rare genetic conditions that cause blindness in young people, many of whom are told they are simply “waiting for darkness.”
The brand strategy and name were built around a single emotional idea; bringing light where there was none. Over 200 names were explored to arrive at Beacon, a symbol of optimism and scientific progress.
Audience propositions were developed for patients and carers, healthcare professionals, policy makers and researchers, each connecting human need with breakthrough science.
The result is a brand that gives hope real meaning and positions Beacon as a leader in retinal gene therapy.
